I found out I had cancer -- a pineal germinoma to be exact -- in the spring of 2008. This blog is an attempt to help me remember that strange period and hopefully help someone else in a similar boat.
Hello--my name is Danny Johnson and I am a close friend of Dave Bethard...he turned me on to your blog, and I really enjoyed reading it...being a full time writer these days, I must comment on how well written your blog is on a tough subject...I tried to become a follower, but for some reason couldn't get onto the site...are you on facebook? it takes a lot of courage to make your fight public, but I think you will find it extremely satisfying in that it not only will help you but the many others out there who find themselves feeling alone in similar circumstances...I encourage you to keep it going...if at some point you are interested in writing a memoir or cataloging your blog into one, I'll try to point you in some directions...I wish you the best and as we used to say in the military, "pain is just fear leaving the body".
